Solve the following problem:?

According to the universal law of gravitation g= (G.M)/ r^2 But g decreases with depth inside the earth's surface which is contradictory to the above law which states that g inversely proportionate to the distance from the centre of the earth.So the value of g must increase as r is decreasing. But this doesn't happens. Explain this.
