What kind of skills would be required to be a massage therapist?

I'm tossing around the idea of getting into licensed massage therapy here in NY state. I'm vision-impaired but I still think it must be a viable career choice. Does it require vision to be a massage therapist? Do you need to be particularly strong? What other skills would be particularly useful or necessary?
