How to listen music on iPad through itunes?

I would like listen news songs on iPad in iTunes ..but I can't able to find the new song releases as when I open iTunes on iPad it shows only books etc ????as I have seen in official video of iTunes how they r playing songs ??when select any album it says only free but how to listen in iTunes of particular album ..plz provide steps
