Just found out I have pcos can u give me some advice please?

I got a scan recently and found out I have pcos on my right ovary my doctor is abit stubborn so I don't know what she is going to do next could anyone share there experiences with me? R u from the uk and did you gp prescribe you clomid if so how long did the process take? Thanks x
